The E-CAT product for district nursing is an electronic tool which supports caseload analysis and audit. Underpinned by a bespoke dependency tool and based on a methodology validated by the University of Ulster, the tool looks at caseload variables at all levels from caseload holder to commissioner and facilitates caseload benchmarking and performance management. The tool has been implemented in all five health trusts in Northern Ireland providing a significant regional evidence base.
